    Re: Flat-spot on Hunter/Granada 2-litre DOHC injection

    Hi Dane
First problem to resolve is to convert units of pressure to the same base, i.e. bars to psi. I found a good web-site (www.onlineconversion.com) and discovered that 1 bar equals 14.5 psi nearly exactly.

When I first installed it, I adjusted my regulator to run at 30 psi, which equals close to your 2.1 bar. I have found the engine now runs slightly better adjusting to 40 psi, equalling about 2.8 bar. So I guess we are talking roughly the same ball-park, allowing for differences in engine set-up or whatever.

I just had now idea what was ideal, so your figures gives me a degree of confidence. Thanks. At last I have got rid of the dreaded flat-spot, without major abhortive cost! There might be a slight penalty on fuel mpg, but with a low annual mileage this wont amount to anything noticeable.

    Cheers
    Mike
