  • Marlins in the Marches

I had a great weekend up in Hereford for the Marches run. Met up with Sue again on Friday, this time it was South Mimms on the M25. It was scorching sunshine all the way up and got to Midway camp site at about 15.00. Ken Knight was already there, Brian from Somerset turned up just after us. The four of us, plus Terresa and Rob and their son Ian went out for a meal, then went back to Rob & Terresa home ( well it was actuallyly their games room above the garage if you can call it a garage ;o)) went to bed at 01.30. Saturday morning was leisurely sent on the camp site before going on the run at 14.30 ( great roads up there) Saturday night we had a BBQ laid on by the people who run the camp site, another late night. Sunday morning went out for a short run, then a Sunday lunch. Unfortunately took down the tents in the rain and a wet drive home. Thank you to Terresa and Rob for looking after us and putting on a great event. PS, Sue wants to live on the camp.

I definitely do think that campsite is my vocation! Those rescue animals need me! And so do the passing trade cafe goers and I don\'t mind cleaning the bogs...........

You are booked for September. Do I supply the marigolds or do you bring your own?

It was a great weekend and lovely site. Red kites overhead and lots to see & do in the area. There is plenty of room for tents & caravans. Hookup for 12. Just saying this as next year this falls on the Jubilee weekend so we can make it a long weekend and still celebrate the Jubilee Marlin style! Put it in your diary now
