  • Marlin enthusiasts

As the MOC facebook page has been removed, I have set up a Marlin Enthusiast page. Only one rule for posting here - only enthusiasm about your Marlin allowed.

          It might work.

            Re: Marlin enthusiasts

It is not an official MOC area but it is for Marlin enthusiasts. I'm happy to live with that.
The original FB "unofficial" group was set up by a committee member who has left the arena (for now).

Does everything that gets discussed on this forum always have to have an undertone. Cheer up Steve it may never happen. Adrian

                Re: Marlin enthusiasts

The undertone was to provide you with a link to access the new facebook group.
My point was, are we going to have an official group and an unofficial one as well, fracturing the MOC further.

                  Re: Marlin enthusiasts

There was no intent to fracture anything by opening a Marlin enthusiasts facebook page. I am still a member of the MOC and will use the web site as I have up to now to post comments and glean technical information. I enjoy Facebook as a social forum and I was disappointed when the MOC page disappeared. It seemed like a good idea to open a new one. I didn't use the MOC title as I have no claim to it and just felt that a Facebook page where Marlin enthusiast could post enthusiastic Marlin stuff was a good thing. Anyone with a Marlin is free to post on the Facebook enthusiasts page - and as you see, there is only one rule - be enthusiastic about your Marlin.

                      Re: Marlin enthusiasts

Why can't "Marlin enthusiasts post enthusiastic Marlin stuff" on this forum?
Wouldn't that make more sense, or am I missing something?

                        Re: Marlin enthusiasts

Marlin enthusiasts can post enthusiastic Marlin stuff wherever they like. If you want to post on the MOC site, go ahead, I certainly still will. The Facebook page is as well as, not instead of the MOC site. I just wanted to make it clear that the Facebook page is meant for general Marlin enthusiasm, not Marlin Owners Club business. It was meant to be fun.

Calling Robert Taylor. Can you please ask to join M.E as I can't find you on FB and Lee has closed the MOC group so you won't be able to access it.

Don, I was a administrator of Facebook when it was set up, I did not ask to be this bob set it up this way,as I was the only administrator as sue and bob came off, I did not want to be the administrator so came off by doing so Facebook cancelled the account. Quite frankly am fed up.
