That is interesting. Why would the back end weigh significantly more than the front? What did you have in the boot?

Re: How heavy is a cabrio
Hi Mike
That is a good point!
I just rolled it on and off again and that is what came up on the print out,I wrote it down and went on my way without another thought!!
It does seem a long way adrift from Chris's and I weighed mine with no body in the car.
Best disregard my first post folks!!
I shall do it again hopefully properly.

Re: How heavy is a cabrio
A lot of Council tips have a full weighbridge so that they can weigh commercial vehicles in and out and use the difference to charge. The guys at my local tip were only too pleased to help me out and weigh my YKC Roadster for nothing. It might be worthwhile going to your local tip to see if you can sweet talk them into doing it for you - try an find out when their quiet periods are.
(Just out of interest, I have all the running gear from a 2.0 DOHC fuel injected Sierra GLS. With half a tank and no driver it was 850kgs)

Re: How heavy is a cabrio
The LWB Hunter that I have just sold was MOT'd this morning. It has a 2.3 16v twin cam Ford engine.
With around 2 gals of fuel plus the 12 stone tester the weights recorded on the roller brake tester were;- front - 502kg and rear 600kg.
I hope these figures are of some interest
