    Hi Mike

Just looking at your FlickR, where did you get the wire mesh for the grill from and what grade is it, also what cost.

    Looks good.

    Re: Current MOC Scenario

    Hi Adrian

I obtained my current grille from Potter & Soar, Banbury.
It is approximatley 2mm wire on 13mm centres. I do not know the grade of stainless but would guess it is 316, as it needs to withstand road salt.

The material for the surround came from an MOC member - Pete Bealy I think (he has a very nice Red Roadster with a grille that I unashamedly copied) who gets off cuts of a stainless steel U - profile from work. It took me hours and hours to form cut, weld and hone, but looks fantastic now its polished.

A quick Google shows Potter & Soar have been taken over by Wiremesh.

They have different styles of mesh and can
cut it Square, or Diamond pattern. The one in my flickr photos is simple weave on a square cut. The first one I bought was a crinkle weave, which I passed on to Alan Hogg which he has fitted to his lovely Cabrio below.
