Danny Nelson has made a good observation/suggestion.
I was looking to increase the boot capacity, but had not appreciated even without the opening boot, the rear tubs were all fitted with a recess.
Danny's suggestion is to cut the spare wheel recess out of the opening boot lid, and fit it back in reverse, to significantly increase the capacity of the boot, AND maintain access to the boot from the rear. -

Derek jones has done this on his cabrio, as I don't carry a spare but have a solid cover then suppose I could do the recess mod maybe one day if I ever need a paint jobComment
