Just fitted a new Type 9 gearbox with Quaife close ratio semi helical gears (wider and stronger gears) and the performance is fantastic in all gears.
It will do 55 mph in 1st and over 70 mph in 2nd, 5th gear top speed is only 120mph compared to 130 plus on the old standard box. It will do 0 - 60 in around 6 secs.
