  • Carrying breathalisers in France

I am sure all of us have picked up on the new law that came into being today in France regarding carrying a breathalyser in the car. What might not be so clear is that you will need at least 2. If the French police stop you and demand that you take a breath test, as soon as you have used it, you no longer have one so they have got you. Those of us who have driven to Le Mans know full well what sport the Gendarmerie make of catching us doing anything untoward. Don't give them the opportunity to get you on this one.

Bought a Halfrauds kit to stay legal.Went to France @ Bank hol. Only saw one gendarme car the whole time we were there. They slowed down, scoped us out and drove away. We were also observing the other laws of wearing dayglo vests, lights on, etc(on a Trike)
