Something different, I have gone out and got a mx5 to play with in the winter, it is a 1.8 mk2.5 limited edition Angels built to launch the film Charlie's angels. Now before the hair dresser jokes wing them selves over I have got this car to learn about them as I think this would form a great base vehicle for a roadster conversion...........using not only the engine and box but the whole running gear, and interior.

I think it would make an excellent donor. Independent wish bone suspension, and its adjustable. Has the makings of a very good donor.

Re: Something different
Hi Lee,
I think one kit manufacturere already uses the MX5 for a roadster type kit.
The MX5 mechanicals are very good and the Zetec-ish engine can be well tuned too. Maybe Marlin could resurrect a twenty first century roadster based on this nice little Mazda ???Marlin Berlinetta 2.1 Efi

Re: Something different
Hi I think that is a great idea, I am sure a Cabrio with mx5 running gear would sell and looking at my mx5 the front and rear subframes could be grafted in as a unit.
