    wire wheels

Is there an acceptable run out allowance on 13 inch wire wheels with knock ons ? Fitting to my mk2 Marina based Roadster. Cheers Chaps.

Thanks Ben, ideal. Going to have a go myself and see how I get on. Nothing venture ,nothing gained as the bad wheel is an odd one anyway but will do as a spare....Cheers Chris.

I can remember doing my cycle wheels, just do it a little bit at a time. You really need a hub stand to set the wheel up on.
Take some pics and let us know how you get on. Perhaps even a little article for Pit Stop,
        Best of luck Ben

          Hi

Triumph recomended 0.05 inch wobble and lift for wire wheels. I was going to attached the relevant pages from the original workshop manual but the image is too large.

          Regards

          Nick Tinsdeall

            From a Spitfire Manual.
            Wheel Run-out and Ovality
The maximum tolerances for both run-out and ovality are as
            follows:
            Press steel wheels .. .. .. 0.070" (0.l8mm.)
            Wire spoke wheels .. .. .. 0.060" (0.l5 mm.)
