Ok this may not be the most urgent thing you thought was needed, but when you building your car and you start to think about heating the Mini heater is a classic.
I had decided I didn't want all the gubbings that made up the fan housing, it also meant it was quite a big unit.
I liked the way the controls worked on the front with a very simple screen, car, off and a single fan switch.
Here we go, I decided that I woould use the front of the mini heater along with the heater matrix and design a new blower unit using a very powerful PC fan.
The fruits of my labours can be seen below.
Looking in the CBS catalog the same type of unit would cost around £110.
I got my mini heater off ebay for £10 the fan cost me £11.68 and the alumium was a bit I had left over when I filled the hole that was cut for the battery box.
£21.68, not bad I thought.
