  • Mini heater take two

Ok this may not be the most urgent thing you thought was needed, but when you building your car and you start to think about heating the Mini heater is a classic.

I had decided I didn't want all the gubbings that made up the fan housing, it also meant it was quite a big unit.

I liked the way the controls worked on the front with a very simple screen, car, off and a single fan switch.

Here we go, I decided that I woould use the front of the mini heater along with the heater matrix and design a new blower unit using a very powerful PC fan.

The fruits of my labours can be seen below.

Looking in the CBS catalog the same type of unit would cost around £110.

I got my mini heater off ebay for £10 the fan cost me £11.68 and the alumium was a bit I had left over when I filled the hole that was cut for the battery box.

    £21.68, not bad I thought.
