    Re: trailers

715 Kg dry weigt for a standard 1.8 Marina. Put fuel and a driver in and the numbers change.

I managed to get mine on a local DVLA weighbridge.

With the way things are going with legislation I would suggest you get it weighed professionally with the associated paperwork and then get it stamped on a VIN plate.
At least then, if you are stopped by the authorities you will be seen to have done the proper homework.

      Re: trailers

Is the unladen weight required on a car VIN plate?

I though it was the max gross combination weight (with trailer), max gross weight and the max weight per axle?

I have just spoken with my MOT man and he has asked me to have the car weighed for the roller brake test, but just the unladen weight of the entire car, not per axle.

          Re: trailers

Are we talking about towing the Marlin with another car or are you thinking of towing with the Marlin?

The towing weights on the cars Vin plate are only advisory.

But dont forget if you are towing an unbraked trailer the max capable gross weight(as displayed on the trailer plate) of the trailer must not exceed 50% of the weight of the towing vehicle.
