  • Rear shocks

Had a productive day in the garage today refurbing the rear brakes. Thinking I may replace the rear shocks. Can anyone tell me if the cabrio uses Sierra originals? They are fairly long.

        Re: Rear shocks

        Hi Jools
I fitted the Sachs rear shock absorbers to my Cabrio last week, seem fine at the very reasonable price of£15.00 each from Euro Parts. My local depot at Crewe got them in the same day. The Bilstein at £51 each 7-10 days delivery.
        Regards
        Dave

          Re: Rear shocks

My MOT garage pointed out that one of the rear shocks on my Hunter had a tiny leak, not sufficient to fail it but they highlighted as a 'warning'. The front shocks have Gaz units fitted by the factory originally, but at the time I did not want to run to the mega costs involved. So I bought a pair of the Europarts version, which fitted easily and have done the job well to date.

          Cheers
          Mike
