Starter Solenoid wiring - 1300 A series engine

Its been one of those days.

I need a picture and explanation of the Starter Solenoid connections for an A Series engine.

It doesn't say what goes to what teminal in any of my manuals and I have tried looking up on the web but no go there either.

    Can anyone help.

Assuming you are using a square or round separate solenoid. Heavy power cable seems to work on either bolt terminal. The brown or brown/white power lead goes to the battery side and the white/red lead goes to the solenoid operating Lucar spade. If you have a ballast resistor than I think it's a white/yellow lead which goes to the other small connection on the solenoid or the starter lead if there isn't a fourth connection for the ballast by-pass lead.

I will have a diagram but those are the connections for the solenoid.

Has your got a feed from the battery and then to the startor motor and a small white/red wire spade from the ign switch and 2 spade brown wires 1 from a fuse and other to the alternator or control box if using a dynamo
