Wire wheels from a Singer - will it fit

I have just been contacted via a member, Charles, who is asking whether a set of wire wheels from a Singer will fit his Marina based Roadster and if so what hub adaptors does he require and more importantly where he can get some.

To my knowledge Singer wheels have never been mentioned as an option for a Marlin or a Marina, but then it all depends on the PCD being the same or the offset being appropriate for adaptors to be a reasonable possibility. I have my doubts as they come from a completely different pedigree as a Rootes car rather than a Triumph/BL derivative.
I have to say it sounds like a can of worms to me. But then again, anything is possible.

If those who have done a wire wheel conversion could at least speak to him that would help.

He is one of our members who doeas not have access to a computer, so any help would be good.

A liitle bit of further information;

The Wheels are from a 1930 Singer Le Mans, even more interesting.

By all accounts speaking to Charles this was done by another member and written up in one of the old Pitstops but he cant remember which.

Can we search on the stored Pitstops on this site?

Charles has contacted me as it appears it was my Pitstop article he recalled. He had already realised that 19" prewar wheels could not be fitted. Would have made an interesting sight, though.
