Wheel hub studs

Has anyone got any tips for getting the wheel studs out of the hubs - I need to fit longer ones due to spacer. As they are press fit I tried the high tech approach of hitting with dead blow hammer with no joy. So I assume its hubs off and find a hydraulic press. But just wanted to see if I was missing a trick.

I take it this is on Cabrio . I've just replaced one of the studs on mine [damaged thread] popped out with a good blow from hammer. No tricks required!

Alan,
Put the wheel nut on each stud and then give it a good whack with a heavy hammer.

Hitting with big hammer worked thanks to all for the input - studs replaced.
