Hi there,
Newbie here from Prestwick Scotland, currently Marlinless, but hoping to change that! My claim to fame is that I once visited Paul Moorhouse at his factory on Belliver Industrial Estate, Plymouth many years ago! That day Paul took me for a spin in his Red 1750 Alfa Romeo powered Marlin Roadster, I was hooked!! Boy was that thing fast, trouble was with being on an apprentice wage at the time I could not afford the gorgeous looking Roadster and so I settled for a £8.50 set of Burlington Arrow plans and built one of those instead!

I do have a request of the Forum. I have a friend whose father built a red Marlin Roadster some years ago in Northern Ireland, she would like to know if the car is still on the road, the registration was/is LXI 8312, does anyone know?

Hi Nigel.

Sorry do not know anything about the history or whereabouts of the car, but at least we have identified it and have these two undated pics in the archive

Hi Dave,
Many thanks for your quick response. I'll show my friend the pics, it'll bring back some happy memories of when her father built it.

I currently have a Jimini2 http://www.flickr.com/photos/44240200@N02/sets/72157622837718730/ which I built and got on the road a couple of years ago. Its time to move on and as I said in my first post I have liked the Marlin for many a year, we'll see what the new year brings.

I hope so, I've seen your Marlin around for some time, great to see. I do know Clive Brown very well and saw his Yellow Marlin when he had her. I hope to meet up with you some time if thats ok regarding things Marlin. Nigel Lamb.
