  • Normal ground clearance

I've noticed the sump of my 1800 powered Roadster is close to the ground so have just measured the exact amount - 3.5" ! The chassis rails are parallel to the ground and 6.5" away. Tyres are 175/70/13. Engine sump isn't a problem as I'm swopping it for a 1275 idc so am simply wondering what ground clearance other people have for the chassis rails ? My jeep has 21" clearance at sills so suppose I've been spoilt

    Re: Normal ground clearance

As given in the build manual Paul, the passenger compartment should be parallel to the floor and have a ground clearance of 170 - 180mm (about 6 1/2" - 7") so yours sounds about right. The dimensions can be found in section 2.4/ 2.5. Steve Green has a copy of it on his keep and share site but I can pop a copy on the forum if there is any interest?

        It's available via Club Goods.
And yes, it would be useful to have it, and others, on here!
