  • Tie rod when suspension raised ?

I intend raising the suspension on my Marina based and have been looking at pictures of trials cars where the lower arms are at quite an angles compared to normal. My intention is just one front spline to match removal of the rear lowering blocks but I'm wondering what the trials people do about the front suspension tie rods ? Obviously the chassis end is rubber mounted so will have some "give" at that end but the other is solid bolted to the lower arm and whilst it's possible for the rod to move in the yoke a little I can't see it absorbing the amount of movement a trials vehicle induces in the suspension. Are the rods changed for some with ball or similar joints where they attach to the lower arm ?

Many trials cars have the rubber bush at the chassis end replaced with a bracket on the chassis and a rose joint, nothing changed on the lower arm end.
