Throttle cable length on BMW sportsters

My throttle cable from the donor seems about 5cm too short, has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions much appreciated.

Hey Patrick and others,

www.burtonpower.co.uk do a three metre long throttle cable for ?4.00 inc VAT. I've just got one and can't believe it only cost ?4!
Part number: FSETLKCABLE

And it is bright blue!
