    Ford gearbox speedo gears

Hi all. Today I managed to change the speedo drive gear in my Berlinetta's type 9 gearbox with the GB in situ. It took about 10 minutes and I only lost about ½ a teaspoon of gear oil!
I needed to reduce the revolutions of the speedo drive as the odometer has always indicated rather short miles. I thought my MPGs were too good to be true. I have had the speedo needle recalibrated too of course.
I now have two spare drive gears. One 22 teeth and the other 23 teeth. These will fit type 9 and the four speed "Rocket" boxes. If anyone is in need of one of these gears PM me and I'll send it/them for the cost of postage. My new gear has 25 teeth which may be the longest gear that will fit the gearbox.

Hi all, I've "tested" the speedo over a 900 mile epic. It is spot on now.
