  • Radiator fitting

I have a Marlin supplied BMW radiator. It looks completely different from the one in the donor E30. I've got a big Y shaped bracket and 2 S shaped brackets. I can't figure out how these attach to the radiator and then to the car. Has anyone got any pictures of an installed radiator that I could have a look at?

    Thank you,

    Patrick

I've figured out how the Marlin brackets work, but found there was not enough room of the electric fan in front with them so I made my own. Pictures here (including test fit of Marlin brackets on the previous page:

      Re: Radiator fitting

What I would like to know is if anyone has fitted the standard e30 325 rad? It's a crossflow design and in theory more efficient than the one Marlin supply which is a traditional top to bottom flow. Also has anyone had any experience of any overheating problems?

        Re: Radiator fitting

Cracked it. Close examination of the BMW ETK shows that the Marlin supplied radiator is in fact from a pre97 BMW. The design then changed to the one I have from my donor car which is later than 97. Solution - get a pre 97 radiator, although it dosen't seem to be as good a design(not crossflow) :-(
