Indeed Angus - going to be a bust new year with loads still to do on detailing and mechanical fettling, but here's to a glorious warm and sunny 2014....

Just noticed your plastic fan. Something I have seen was, that at speed, the fan deflects forward towards the radiator. Certainly on a Roadster the U bolts holding the rack in place, and their nuts, can easily come into contact with the fan.
But that was on a roadster with a 1.8 B series.

Thanks Steve, that certainly was an initial concern we had when originally building it (along with blade tip clearance on all the ancillaries). Fortunately the crossflow fan seemed more rigid to forward twist than the bl item but this was helped a little further by trimming the tips slightly. It appears to be ok but is a feature to watch. We also fitted a remote switched ken low unit in front of the rad for additional cooling but this was rarely required.

Any chance you could post a picture of how the bonnet is hinged?

Will do Andy as soon as I can. I recall we used the marina hinges, although modified them to provide the right lift and angles for clearance.
