Marina Peddle Box

Anyone know what size the thread is in the bolt hole at the bottom of the peddle box under the clutch, it points upwards instead on into the bulkhead. I'm considering using it as a mount for a brace down to the chassis.

I would rather not risk stressing a cast component by adding a fixing or support where it was not intended.

I don't think that it would stress the cast components, rather it would stop flexing in the sheet steel leading to cracks?

I was Referring to the original post of adding a support to a feature of the casting not designed to take a load.
stopping the flexing of the bulkhead must be the preferred option.
