Age-related plates.

I'm having some difficulty working out what would happen, reg plate-wise, if I were to build a new Marlin kit using at least two major components from the same donor.

This DVLA link (see 'D' at bottom of their page) http://www.dvla.gov.uk/vehicles/regrebil.htm seems to suggest it would be issued with an age-related plate (following an SVA test)
as opposed to a 'Q'.

Has anyone had any recent, practical experience of this?

Hi, It would appear that most reg on kits built today get age related plates, not the donor reg. It seems the Q is a thing of the past. It was more common in the 1980 and early 1990.
