I went along to the Shuttleworth Classic car show on Easter Sunday with my boy in the Roadster. there was a very good turnout of classics but very few Kits. I find this crowd tend to be a bit sniffy about us hand built chaps. which has meant that there were far fewer kits than in previous years. (I counted only three of us)
we left early as we could not get near the one food vendor, but this was probably as well because about 2 miles from home there was an awful graunching sound as the support bar for the gear box hit the ground. the nut holding the bar to the chassis was missing and with no replacement to hand we crawled back home at about 4 miles an hour.
so next weekend I shall be checking the entire underneath of the car for any loose or missing nuts.
