........and here we go again ! Arrived today, have managed to remove the drivers door, but t'other one is now soaking in penetrating oil, it's rusted shut.
Initial job was to remove carpets etc to dry it out - car has been outside stored for many years - and the passengers side floor came apart in my hands.

So far no nasty surprises - but watch this space.

If there's anyone out there with any Marina spares they want to shift please call me. The steering lock and column switches have been smashed as the keys have
been lost - and there's a locked petrol cap to be sorted in due time

How many looms did the original builder use..??

Dunno, I think only one but it's all a bit over complicated. For example a second ignition light, full Marina ignition circuitry plus a hidden starter button and a hidden cut out switch, hence taking my time in sorting/labelling.

Think I may need new instruments, the casings for these are all very rusty and may not clean up very well. The dash and other panels are (were) all hardboard so need remaking

I used a premier wiring loom in the romero (sierra based) and found it straight forward even though I had to adapt it for EFi and the EEC4. I beleive Mike the owner has now moved abroad (malaga) but is still intending on trading.

Have you got a sand blaster!!!

I caanot believe the amount of wiring that people use when wiring a normal non fuel injection/Computer ignition ...My Marlin has around 12 wires running to the front lights alone and under the dash is like speghetti juction !!

Its all coming out and am using a simple Hot Rod Kit

No its not still got the dash top and screen to go. Come on see if you can get the screen out whole.
