    Propshaft

    hi all
I have started my winter project of fitting a type 9 gearbox to my 1600 crossflow engine. I have a little problem with the propshaft which needs coverting and shortening. Any one know where i can get this work done in the Rutland/Leicester area
    Merry Xmas to all

Not exactly in your immediate area but there is a company that specialise in this kind of work just south of Huntingdon on the A1. I've used them and can't speak highly enough of their service; prices were good too. I can't recall the name off the top of my head but if you were interested I'm sure I could get it for you.

I'd be interested in finding out what's involved as this is one of the things I'm considering in the future as I also have a Xflow powered Marlin

          Hi Bob

The company is Bailey Morris Ltd. They are at:
          Little End Industrial Estate
          St Neots
          Cambridgeshire
          PE19 8GE
          tel: 01480 216250
          Web: www.baileymorris.co.uk

There is a map of how to find them on the web site. As I mentioned my experience with them was first class. Hope this helps.

          Cheers
