That is a stunning body and gorgeous colour – well worth waiting 3 months. Paul

still waiting for the head light bowls and a few bits from the painters.
I gave it a quick try on the road and it feels very nice.

        Looking very smart.
Do you plan on keeping the UK plates?

Can't unless you have a uk address, came across that prob with my Berly, couldn't get insurance here in france with a uk reg no, several years ago it was possible, probably grey area/market but that door was shut some time ago!

No it will have a French CG ( log book ) and French number plates.
When i've fitted the lights and bits it will be off for the controls and mot.
            so fingers crossed.

Your Roadster looks fabulous. It should make for a very nice car based on the MX5 running gear.

Do you have any shots from the front ? - it will be interesting to see how the increased width works.
From the angles shown it looks like it works really well.

The car is rearly very nice on the road, handels and pulls very well.
Only done a couple of short runs so far, to get petrol and to get the control technique ( MOT).IMG_20160906_171613.jpgIMG_20160906_171627.jpgIMG_20160906_171642.jpg
every one says it looks very good from all angles.
Next the French C.G. ( log book ) then it will soon be on the market.

How many Marlins do you know with
                          Mazda MX5 running gear,
Total re-build and new paint ( well nearly every thing new ),
                          770 Kg and 140 hp,
and French reg ( ask all those who have tryed to get that ) ??

I do not mean to be offensive but, it is not a Marlin anymore, but a highly modified car. I appreciate the effort that has been put into it, and being LHD and me living in Spain, I find it attractive, but there are many other vehicles like a LHD TR7 effectively fully restored for 60% of that price.
Even then a fully legal car in France, may not meet the rules in Spain or England, and the transfer of registration may not be worth while. For instance a 2009 English registered LHD car could cost me up to €1000 to re register in Spain.

This is what can become of your Marlin if you sell outside of the UK. Especially France if the V5 states first reg 30 years or over. Sellers choice, I know.
