  • Tour Auto (Optic 2000) 2015 by Marlin - A video.

    Hi All,

Back in April 2015 my nephew Nick Lette and I followed the Tour Auto for two days.
This is the video we made. If you have 20 minutes to spare pour yourself a drink/brew some tea and chill out with us.
I hope you like it - let me know either way.
    Colin Barratt.

Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

Well done Colin, a truly excellent film. A credit to your nephew's photographic skills and the Sportster does'nt look out of place even in such exalted company.David

Thanks to Colin for a great bit of film
It inspired me to look further to learn more as it would be fantastic to follow
I uncovered this gem of a section on the 2014 tour where the cars were really going for it,with the unfortunate results of some rather expensive bent metal
      Fantastic sound track!

Such compelling watching the tea I brewed got cold - another brew and viewing in order then. I had not heard of this event I must find out more.

Thanks for all your kind comments. It is more down to Nick than me. He's a complete petrolhead !! First Class Masters Degree in Automotive and Product Design. Goodwood addict since he was about 8yrs old. Inveterate video maker - (Look up Nicholas Lette van Oostvoorne on You Tube). Recently intern at and now employed by CarWow. Yes, it's a great video. What camera did he use? I noticed some of it was filmed using a selfie stick.

Sorry to be so slow in replying.
Glad you liked the video. It was huge fun !!
Nick uses a Nikon (well he would wouldn't he) J1 compact for hand held shots. He has made adapters to allow him to fit M42 threaded lenses as well as the standard ones.
For car mounted shots he uses a GoPro Hero.
Take a look at his other stuff at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChR...Yp4bX2jKTlmsdA
                          Cheers,
                          Colin.
