  • WANTED : Marina 1800 clutch operating arm !

I believe these may belong in the "hens teeth" league. I was relieved therefore to think mine was OK - until I turned it over
and saw the broken spring bit thingy. I don't think I can use it as is, so sensible suggestions please - or tell me your price if
you have one lurking in your shed/garage..................meantime Google I hope may be my friend !

Three days and 93 views but no replies - they must be difficult to find !

Just a thought, if you have a broken one but the spring is still useable I'm sure I could find a "Rosie" to rivet it in for me

    Thanks in hope DC

Ooh, quite rare. Not sure why your post was not too easy to see. Cameron?

How about gaffer tape - I use it all the time. great for keeping things in place - like kids!
Sorry Steve, can you elaborate? Looks ok from here.

I only say this, this evening. Very unlike me to miss three days of posts.

Someone raised the same or similar subject a few weeks ago. No new posts recently?

nope all working fine. Keep an eye on the right hand "blocks", all recent posts are there. If the forum is busy then it soon becomes full and the early ones get pushed down the list.

Have a look at this site, look at the disco clutch forks, or ask them for measurements etc. http://www.johnrichardssurplus.co.uk

Disco won't work Phil - they use the LT77/R380 boxes & the lever is different (longer & flatter).
@ Cameron - I don't suppose I let you have my spare fork in those various boxes of bits you had way back when..?
@ DC - Dolomite 1500/1850 or TR7 4-speed might fit (same basic box)...so could be worth calling some of the Triumph specialists (Robsport, Fitchetts, Canley Classics) - or have you tried Earlpart yet..?
In the meantime I'll keep looking

                          DC,
if you check every little bit of your clutch fork for a part number or manufacturing number and let us all know, we could become the biggest search engine going (well nearly). How about going down the hydraulic release bearing route, it's a thought, no more clutch forks I did on my type 9 box, never looked back.

This does not help at all, I know I have a clutch arm in good working order, in the UK, but I am in Spain for the next three months at least.
Have you tried the Morris Marina Owners Club?
