After a chilly start with a very cold wind here in Burnham, I decided to make the effort and give Batty a run. He's only just back on the road after yet more problems, this time a pretty bad water leak around the inlet manifold. I made my way down the A38 to Taunton and then joined the A358 towards Minehead. I stopped at Crowcombe Heathfield Station (part of the West Somerset Railway) for a cup of tea and some ginger cake. I waited for a steam engine to arrive and depart and then set off again. I turned off the main road and made my way across the Quantocks and joined the A39 to take me home via Bridgwater. It was a very pleasant trip and it warmed up considerably as the day went on. Can't wait for the Summer to come though so that I don't have to wear quite so many layers!
