Can someone confirm or not that the engine number 17V647AAH/////// would be a 1700 O series from an Ital if not any Ideas. I dont even know what it looks like as its in a Marlin somewhere in Italy!!

Highly likely - 17 is the capacity and V indicates a RWD application, so an Ital (or a late-model Marina - these also had the O series) is the most likely candidate.Marlin Roadster, LWB...1860 B Series + Ford Type 9
