As you may have noticed, the latest mag is a a spookily close copy to the December/January issue. The reason for this is a spectacular c*ck up on the part of our Printer! This is being rectified and a real copy should be sent to you early next week. Apologies from the Printer!

ps Has anyone got a spare thermostart for a Massey Ferguson MF 35X? Mine has just blown up at the coldest time of the year! (it must be taking lessons from Moll!)

Hi Dane, Is that the old engine that the the standard Vanguard copied? if so the stat may be the same as all the triumpph straight 6 engines use.

No, it is the 3 cyl Perkins A3-152. It is not the thermostat I am after, it is the thermostart (not a typo) this burns fuel in the inlet manifold. after about 15 seconds one activates the starter wherupon the burning conflagration is shot into the cylinders which helps the initial start of the diesel!
