AN UP-DATE FROM TERRY MATTHEWS AT MARLIN SPORTS CARS
Dear Marlin Owners
I can’t believe it has been a year since we had the Marlin Fund Raising day for AMMF and Hosipcare. What a wonderful amazing day it turned out to be and best of all were the many Marlin owners who came along with some fantastic examples of the different Marlin models that have been produced over the years. Of course sitting alongside them was the newly completed Avatar One………. all resulting in a fitting tribute to Mark Matthews and raising over £11,000 for two wonderful charities.
It has been quite a year and I am glad to say that Marlin is still going from strength to strength. We have been kept very busy building and improving on the Avatar, which accumulated in us showing it at the Autoshow in January this year…… more about this in next edition and about our plans for this car in the coming year.
So for this Marlin Pitstop edition I am just giving you a short update and to let you know that we are very much still in business and can still supply you with all parts needed for the Cabrio/Hunter, Sportster and EXi models…….. the last two of which we can still supply kits.
We have found ourselves being asked to finish owner’s cars and put them through IVA. This has been very exciting but also at times very frustrating. Of course one of the major problems has, for a long time, been the slope of the rear light fittings on the old style Sportster wings so after some discussions between ourselves and the owner whose car we were working on at the time, we came up with this new design. With the upright lights now more easily seen we feel they are a big improvement and of course we can now offer these as an aftermarket part. If you would like more details please do contact me.
In the meantime I am always delighted to get unusual pictures of any Marlin to use on our web site and FB page so please keep them coming. Also do check out the FB page as I intend to start keeping this up to date far more regularly. https://www.facebook.com/marlinsportscars/

I agree with Steve that a bit of frenching might have been a more elegant solution but the nicely curved bottom edge and the reflectors look great - much more in keeping for the car. I would also have like to have seen a fog and reversing light incorporated too.
