Does anyone know where I can get a new windscreen fitted for my Roadster?

The existing screen has started delaminating, it doesn't seem to have got any worse since I bought the car 3 years ago and has just passed the MOT but I'm preparing for the worst.

    Regards
    Roger

Never heard of that, there is always a first! Searching the Roadster forum for details for windscreen will throw up a few options often from recutting an early Landrover flat screen. It's time to start doing your homework with your local windscreen companies.

The ones that specialise in coaches seem to be quite helpful

My windscreen is also delaminating around the edges but is not too bad at the moment. What is more of a worry is the small crack at the O/S edge where PO drilled the frame to fit a mirror and went a little too deep.
When that spreads into the wiper swept area I will also join the new windscreen saga

There has been quite a number of roadster windscreens over the years which suffered from this problem. I assume the cutting and then the standard of bedding and sealing must contribute. No problem to have ome cut, but you can have some fun fitting the new screen.

If the old one is no good do you need to get it out in one piece?

It can be handy as a template for the new one

I did wondered that. I would get some card and make a template of the visible area first just in case it breaks.

There is a brief write up in the Pit Stop 2008 Feb/Mar issue page 13. By Patrick Hobbs. Have fun! been there and got the T shirt. But I was replacing my original screen after chassis repairs back at the factory.
