I always though this was on the registration document. Alternatively you could get BMW to print you a birth sheet from the donor chassis number, that will have all the car details including the manufacture date - not sure if that would be enough for the SVA though.

My block as 88 stamped on the intake side which was the year of manufacture.

How did your build go? Have you got any pictures?
