    Handbrake E36 based kit

I'am having a lot of trouble getting the handbrake lever to fit in a position so that the cables don't foul the tunnel or the propshaft before gonig into the guide tubes. This fouling is not allowing the handbrake to function properly. I have had several attempts at positioning the lever but none work.
Photo in original build cd supplied shows the lever fitted much further back in the car. Anybody had similar problems? Any solutions?

I had no problems on my E30 based car - but I guess the handbrake is different. (Pictures on my website http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/martinclan/) Try posting the question on the Madabout forum - seems to be much more active than this one at the moment. http://www.madabout-kitcars.com

If the holes match up with the E30 handbrake it might be easier to eBay an E30 hand brake handle, or source one off www.e30zone.co.uk or www.planete30.co.uk

I've got some pictures of mine here: http://www.msportster.co.uk/detail.asp?cat=7&offset=120

And one of the hole in the chassis:
