Cabrio door lock release cable.

Hi everyone,
I am in desperate need of a door lock release cable.
Have tried breakers, e-bay, and even Ford! with no luck.
It needs to be approx 72 cm long.
Will other ford cables fit?
Any advice appreciated.

Can you either make a replacement using a bike brake cable or join in a section of new cable with solder less joiners use the inserts that are in electrical choc blocks.

I used a cable from at 2 door fiesta, got it from a scappy. The fittings are the same ( it was probably a 1990 Fiesta)

This is a bit of a minefield as there are several variables. Firstly, LWB Cabrios require longer cables as the doors are 2" longer than SWB. The cables came in several lengths depending on fitment - saloon, estate, front, back, etc - and were on Mk 2 Sierras (Mk 1 had different handles and used rods). The same type of door furniture was also used on other Fords of the time - Fiesta, Escort, Granada - so they are also sources of these items, and even more variety in cable length.
