It’s been up recently and not sold, think it was for £9k at that time. Still seems way too high at £8500, the starting price being more realistic I would have thought. Any other views?

Well the theory on selling is usually start high as you can always bring the price down....... if you start too low you can't start negotiating upwards, unless you are selling something that is hugely popular and in really short supply then it becomes best offer over.

Good luck to him, however, I suspect he may have that for sale for quite a while.
