This is my Marlin Hunter in the photo.
Unfortunately, I need to sell it as I really do need something I can use on a daily basis for work. I keep telling myself use the Marlin but it really is too good for that.
It is a factory built 3.9 V8 and has done less that 22,000 miles.
If you are a Marlin fan this is the car to have as it is better than a Morgan +8 and will cost a lot less to buy.
I have all the build documents for it including the purchase receipts from 2000. I have had the car for 3 and a half years and it I have taken every step necessary to maintain it. The latest improvement is the addition of new exhaust manifolds which have been ceramic coated rather than wrapped. This has made a great difference despite it costing over £1,000 to install.
It is two tone silver with blue carpets and seats and an immaculate black hood.
I am offering it on the Marlin Club forum because I want members to have first opportunity to own the car because you are the real enthusiasts and I want it to go to a good home.
I am based in Torbay in Devon and it is offered for sale at £12,000 and I believe it is well worth this for such a special car.

Personally I would have to say use it! I couldn't justify spending that amount of cash on a vehicle just to sit idle .
However, Marlin's will probably never have quite the same cache of Morgan's despite the price differential, nor do they have the same support from the point of view of obtaining spares should you be unfortunate in bending it. In that respect I can see the reluctance of putting it on the road on a regular basis, which is why we tend to see cars with such low mileage.
As nice as they are, and yours is probably one of the better examples out there, there are too many more useable mainstream convertible's for that sort of cash.

In the past I had a 2006 shelby mustang convertible which I converted to LPG also a C4 Vette which I did the same with so fuel consumption wasnt an issue. But with the Marlin mounting a reasonable size gas tank wasnt a goer so it had to a 2.3 and realistically their isnt much difference in the performance to be bothered about especially compered to the 2 Yanks mentioned
