Surely being different is part of the kit car ethos?
Your damp problems might be helped for now with mud flaps, the ones with the 'hairy' insides. They might look horrible but might keep some wet and stones off. I love the coilovers , have you done a write up on them? I can see how you might have an interesting time fitting cycle wings.
