Either track rod end will work for an undamaged suspension. Often accident damaged, twisted steering uprights make people think they need the extended one. As detailed elsewhere in this forum. Check carefully.
I get the impression that kolmerslag is attempting a full front suspension refurb. A simple enough job.
The best guide for I have found for a Morris Marina is attached but it does not include the Mini top arm as used by the Roadster, but everything else is the same.
One day, with Kilroys permission, I will adapt his work, for a Roadster.

1800TC, Unleaded ported head, stage 2 cam. Ford Type 9 gearbox, Dolomite Sprint rear axle fitted with MGF disc brakes.
Three core radiator, Renault Clio vented front discs.
