I have one that requires a little TLC. You can have it for postage cost. If you are interested I can dig it out and take some photos.

Mine has a separate set of wires in a buddle as supplied by Marlin, a surround in the correct shape and a wooden base so that you can platt the wires.

I remember spraying mine with a silver enamel rattle can (aerosol) when it started to look old. Lot of wasted paint obviously but result was ok ! They're not easy things to polish up.
