wiper system conversion

Does any one have a rack type wiper system fitted and can tell me the length from the centre of the N/S/ wheel box to the end of the nut holding the rack tube to the motor [I am changing from link type to rack type]?

Ref your question - surely this measurement depends on the location of the motor which could be placed in any convenient space at the N/S end of the scuttle, eg.
site the motor then cut a tube to fit.
Where did you find the wheel boxes/motor and how many teeth do they have for the correct sweep? We are having trouble finding ones with a long enough spindles. The best so far have Lucas P/N 72887B from a Mini (I believe!).
