Re: title change
I contacted DVLA when I changed the engine and colour of my Berlinetta. I heard nothing for 3 months then the new V5 arrived with the correct details. I got the impression that anything unusual is dealt with by a human being rather than a computer, and so takes a lot longer. I was in no hurry as the car was in bits.

Re: title change
Hi Ray, On a previous occasion a member did this and it seemed to take a couple of months and that was after persisting with the
DVLA phone system at least twice before getting assurance that a revised V5 was on its way.
There is a section that apparently deals with kits and rebuilds. "Kits and Rebuilds D4 DVLA".
Best of luck. BenBen Caswell probably not the last word on anything here!!

Re: title change
My Berly had a new lump installed around 2000, but that info was not forwarded to DVLA, When I came to reg said Berly here in France I needed a photo of the engine number, 2016, Took the photo, filled in the relevant sections of the v5 etc and sent it off with the photo to Swansea, took about 3 to 4 weeks which included 2 weeks in postal transit!
