Not the 10000ft run - Ingleton Tourist Information Carpark 11:00 21st September

A bit short notice I know, but there is an informal circular run scheduled tomorrow starting at Ingelton and going out to Tan Hill Inn via Hawes, Buttertubs Pass and returning via Kirkby Stephen and Tebay. There are usually a couple of Marlins, and I'll be going tomorrow in my recently aquired Sportster. Its not really affiliated to one marque, but generally some 2CV based cars (its previously been loosley affiliated to the Citroen Specials Club and Nutcrackers Car Club) in addition to the regular Marlins. Starts at 11:00 from Ingleton and a flexible lunch stop in Kirkby Stephen - lots of cafes and toilets!. Looks like being a belter weatherwise this year - I have previously been a passenger in persistent drizzle in a 2CV special with no hood!

Excellent run in amazing weather through stunning scenery today, four Marlins turned out, two Sportsters, a Berlinetta and a Cabrio along with nine other assorted kits, specials, classics. We had to abort the original route after two motorcyclists required the air ambulance on the road to Hawes, but we still managed to complete a reasonably circular loop from Ingelton in a vaguely reverse direction. I clocked up about 164miles in total, taking in Lancashire, Yorkshire and a bit of Westmorland, navigated superbly by Harriet my 10 year old eldest daughter.
