Rear Light Lens

I have what I believe was a pretty typical rear light set-up for Roadsters - a combination light with a rubber mount and a 'racetrack shaped' red/yellow lens which just 'clipped' into the rubber mount. Does anyone know the make and, more particularly, where I can get a replacement lens? My local supplier has something which looks similar (but isn't identical) but I'm hoping to be able to replace the lens only, without having to replace the rear light. I don't mind buying the whole fitting if necessary, just to get the lens. All help appreciated.

Definitely Rubbolite!

not many other options, but Volvo P1800 (The Saint) is the upmarket version.

Thanks guys, the existing is definitely a Rubbolite M88, but … the replacement lenses all seem to include a clear 'number plate window', whereas my existing one doesn't have this, nor do I need it. And, as Jon Wilkinson says, the cost!! I may consider replacing both sides with a Britax 9020 although that has a number plate window as well.

You failed to mention how much they cost

They are upmarket, if you need to ask the cost, you cannot afford them!

kit cars are remarkably like boats, a hole in the water in which you pour money!

Rubbolite 88/02/01 it is then.
But you could always put black tape over the number plate window, or even paint!

Or paint the inside of the Britax 9020.

Britax 9021 has no numberplate window.

I have them on by Berlinetta and I’m happy with them.
Especially the way of lens fitting with screws.

I have been told many times that my rear lights are not very efficient so I have swapped them for;

£30 for the pair.

Now really bright.

I have now fitted the LED version of the Rubbolite side lights, people can also see me coming.

LED number plate lights as well.

I think these are the ones you are after. The rubbers were long past it but I kept the lenses.
