does any body know if the tow bar on the sierra berly was an optional extra?
I am keen to move the mounting rail and shift it forwards to make it a place to mount a central exhaust.

It was an optional extra, The same bracket was fitted to Cortina and Sierra Berlinettas. However when you undo the 4 no nuts and boles holding the bracket to the lugs on the chassis you lose your inner brackets to mount your rear bumpers. So you either source two brackets or butcher the tow bracket by cutting these brackets off at the weld.
